Lawyers are compensated for the time they spend on a case.  It’s that simple.  We will discuss the issue of attorney’s fees and costs in our initial conference.  At the conclusion of our initial conference, we will provide you with a Fee Agreement which sets forth your financial obligations to this office, or you can download a copy of the Engagement Agreement here and bring it with you.

I now have two different types of fee arrangements.  The most common type is the “retainer” method. Initial payments begin at $5,000 or higher in unique cases. This money is the client’s money and is deposited into the attorney’s trust account.  This money is only earned by the attorney as he performs legal services on the client’s behalf.  The attorney may withdraw these funds only as fees are earned, or expenses incurred.

The second fee structure is the “flat fee” method.  This is where the client pays a certain sum for the specifically delineated legal services.  I also offer initial consultations for up to an hour with no obligation either way for $300.
